THE ESSENCE OF EMERIL (LAGASSE)

2 1/2 tablespoons paprika

2 tablespoons salt

2 tablespoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon dried thyme

 

 

This spice mixture is great for about any dish.

My favorite: Dredge chicken, beef, pork, or fish in butter and sprinkle with Essence. Cook in a HOT pan to sear the outside and the spices to the meat. Reduce heat and allow the meet to cook fully.
